From the 1960s onwards, Ram Kumar's work gradually moved away from figuration and pure abstraction. His landscapes were reduced to geometrical forms mixed in changing horizontal and vertical planes. This painting shows the important stylistic change Kumar underwent. It is an abstract hymn to nature.
